Subjects with set units must include units as noted in MIT course catalog: Ex. 3, 6, 9,12, 21 or 24. Subjects with *arranged* units can determine the breakdown of units:

1. # lecture hours per week
2. # lab (or studio or recitation) hours per week
3. # home work hours per week

Example: 3 – 3 – 6 = 12 units
